And that's a wrap ... Cap grad's film makes it to Crazy 8's Screening & Gala 
Shooting wrapped up on March 28 for The Vessel, a short film by Marshall Axani, a Cap U Motion Picture Arts grad who wrote and directed the film. The film was screened with the five other winning films at the 2012 Crazy 8s Screening & Gala. You can get a behind-the-scenes view of the making of the movie, watch the trailer, and read some of the director's thoughts and insights at the Vancouver Sun blog dedicated to the film.

Reflections Vancouver 2013 is a collection of Vancouver scenic paintings and fine arts products created by IDEA students in their second year of the program, and marketed during the summer and the fall semester of third year. The students' goal is to raise funds to support their learning and continued cultural enrichment.

Trombone Awareness day  
On April 11, 2012, a number of students participated in the third annual Trombone Awareness day which saw participants march through the Capilano campus with trombones. The demonstration was a fun event to raise awareness for the importance of music and arts programs in British Columbia.

IDEA Grad Show -  Smart Solutions for Business 
During this past week the exceptionally talented design and illustration grads have been showcasing their work at the IDEA Grad Show at the Harbour Center in downtown Vancouver. IDEA is a career-based 3-year diploma program offering instruction in both communication design and applied illustration. This dual curriculum sets IDEA apart from other post-secondary design programs and gives graduates a lifelong edge in the job market. If you didn't have an opportunity to attend the show please  visit ideagradshow.ca to see the students' work and find links to their personal design or illustration portfolios.
