Moritz-Heyman Scholarships to be awarded
100 undergraduates joining Oxford this October will soon receive letters inviting them to become the first recipients of this exciting new support package. Thanks to the biggest philanthropic gift dedicated to undergraduate financial support in European history, the effect of the government's increase in tuition fees will be erased for these 100 students.

Also, a large bursary – in addition to the government’s non-repayable student grant – will mean that all living costs are covered. More details can be found on our website.

Mark weighting changed in the History Aptitude Test
Following a review of recent candidate performance, the History Faculty has decided to make a small change to the weighting of marks allocated to questions in the History Aptitude Test.

In order to reward the creative engagement of candidates with Question 2, the Faculty has ruled that this year’s paper will allocate only 30 marks for Question 1c (instead of 40), and will increase the marks available for Question 2 to 40 marks (up from 30 in previous years). The form of the questions will not change, but candidates will be advised to spend a little extra time on Question 2. A new specimen paper has been placed on the Faculty website to illustrate this small amendment.
