Student Affairs in Higher Education Master's: The Benefit of an Online Degree

Is Online Learning Right for You? Whether you have experience in student affairs or are seeking to enter into the field, Colorado State University's Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) master's degree sets you apart as a professional with the knowledge to succeed in a broad range of settings on college and university campuses, including financial aid, admissions, student activities, advising, residence life, and many other functional areas. As an online student, you can expect a similar workload to a traditional on-campus program, spending approximately nine to twelve hours per week on a three-credit course. You will have faculty interaction through email and online office hours, as well as collaborate on projects and exchange ideas with fellow classmates through online resources like discussion boards. Our student services staff is available to walk you through this program to help you determine if this degree and the online format are right for you. Start with the Certificate If you're not ready to begin a full degree program just yet, you can start by taking a few courses without having to be formally admitted to the University. The four courses taken as part of our SAHE certificate can later be applied to your master's degree should you apply and be accepted.
