Grads Share Stories, Advice Each of the almost 1,300 students who graduated from the University of Northern Colorado during commencement ceremonies May 4-5 has her or his own unique story. Eight of them shared their stories, along with some advice for those who will follow in their footsteps.
Alumna's Book Series Helps Alzheimer’s Patients, Loved Ones Stay Connected A University of Northern Colorado alumna is helping Alzheimer's patients and their loved ones feel a little closer to each other through a series of picture books simple enough for those with the disease to understand and sweet enough to make them smile. Scholarships Transform Student’s Life  Last year, more than 5,000 people made investments in students like Laurenda Weber. Private support is a powerful and much-needed gift for students today— read Weber’s story and visit UNC’s Honor Roll of Donors. Building Nursing Students' Confidence Academically and Professionally A UNC Nursing professor who set up a program for students to gain real-world experience and hone their professional skills by volunteering at local health fairs used her connections and creativity to keep the program going after the fairs changed their requirements for volunteers performing blood draws.
